We are so very proud of our Katie Button. She started private swim
lessons mid June to help her gain some confidence about playing in the
water and she ended up learning to swim!

Yesterday for the first time she swam across the width of the pool
completely unaided! Miss Jessica was there with her, but only for
safety reasons. She was beaming and exhausted when she was done. I had
her stand up and turn around to see what she had just done and I could
tell she and Jessica were very proud!!!
When she started these lessons she would only let go of her instructor
if she was holding on to her, an hated putting her face in the water.
So she has made some amazing strides!

That is great! Maybe she and Saige can join the First Colony swim team when they are older. Saige is now swimming the width, and is SO proud as well. We are still working on the face in the water it, but baby steps.
ReplyDeleteYay! Gooooooo Katie!!! Chloe finally started swimming by herself too. I thought she was going to be in a life vest as an adult. ha!
