Bye bye Aunt Stormy

We travelled to Georgetown to say bye to Stormy before she left for
Chile. We promised to keep the blog up to date and she promised to do
the same!!! We are very proud of her for taking on this challenge and are really looking forward to hearing all about her new host family and life in her new school!

Dance Tea Party

Today's dance class was a tea party. All the girls wore their fancy tutu's and Katie also wore her collection of beaded necklaces. They performed their dance for the mom's and showed off the tea cups they made during class.

Well here is some news unrelated to the kids for once! I have decided to step up my running and really push myself. Well this is definitely pushing myself. I am training for the Houston 1/2 Marathon in January 2010! It seems far away now, but I have a lot of miles to run between now and then to get ready. I took the first step this past weekend and invested in some new very nice running shoes. I have slowly eased back into running since Jack and did my first 4 mile stretch over the weekend.. only 9 more to go!

Lights, Camera, Action

This summer Katie's dance class has a different theme each week. We have had Diva, Disney and this week was Broadway. Katie got a new hot pink leotard & leg warmers (or fancy socks with the feet cut off!). She had a great day and loved wearing the top hat with all the other girls. I barely got a bye mommy during her shoe change because she was to excited to get back into the class room..

Tummy Time

I am convinced Jack is going to be a scooter rather than a crawler. He does not last on his tummy for more than about two minutes and is happiest when he is siting on his bottom! Jack officially weighed in at 20lbs today! He and Katie are now both in their 20's.

DORA LIVE!

Andy continued his tradition yesterday by taking Katie to a summer show. Last year it was The Wiggles, but sadly we are going to be away for that show this year. So they went to the Dora Live show instead. They both had a great time and even though cameras were prohibited, Andy managed a few quick pics!

Jack and I stayed home, but were promised that we could go next summer!

Happy 4th of July

We had a nice and quiet long weekend at home. Decided it was way too hot to take Jack out to the Sugar Land festivities (too hot for mama as well!), so we just celebrated from the comfort of our air conditioned home :)!

Andy got a new guitar for Rock Band for his birthday and we are almost ready to go on tour! As soon as Jack can handle the drum sticks and not put them in his mouth we will be set!
